The MUGA (Multi-Use Games Area) is a fenced, all-weather court at Gordon Community Sports Field. It is marked out for five-a-side football, basketball, tennis and pickleball, and can be booked by individuals, families, clubs and visiting groups throughout the year.
About the MUGA
The court has a tarmac all-weather playing surface that drains quickly, so it stays usable through the winter and shortly after heavy rain. It is fully enclosed by high fencing, which keeps the ball in play and makes it a secure space for junior sessions. Colour-coded markings for all four sports are laid onto the same surface, and goals, nets and posts are stored in the shed beside the court.
The MUGA is located on the road to Kelso, next to the Bowling Club. Bookings are made using the buttons at the top of this page, for today or for any future date. Floodlighting is planned for the future and will provide opportunities to play in low light and night conditions; the use of floodlights will carry an additional cost.
